The approval process for Gurgen Arsenyan's appointment as Ambassador to Russia is confidential, and there will be no public response on this topic. This was stated by David Karapetyan, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly on June 4.
When asked what topics he discussed with Arsenyan, Karapetyan replied, “Mr. Arsenyan and I are close; we discussed work-related and personal matters.” He did not respond to other questions and left.
It is worth noting that there have been ongoing rumors regarding the intention to appoint Gurgen Arsenyan as Ambassador to Russia, and reports have surfaced that the approval has not yet been granted. Recently, however, the press reported that the approval has been confirmed.
