Man Falls into Departing Airplane Engine at Amsterdam Airport and Dies

A man has fallen into the rotating engine of a departing passenger aircraft at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport and has died. The tragic incident occurred outside the busy terminal area as a KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flight was preparing to depart for Billund, Denmark, according to The Guardian.

"A fatal incident occurred today at Schiphol, where an individual ended up in the airplane's engine. Unfortunately, he has died," KLM stated in its announcement.

An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
