Fourth Confirmed Victim in Disaster Zone, Claims MP
There is a fourth confirmed victim in the disaster zone, reported Aren Mkrtchyan, a member of the National Assembly's Civil Contract faction.
"I extend my condolences to the family members and relatives," the MP wrote.
Earlier, it was reported that there were three victims in the disaster zone. Rescuers recovered the body of an unidentified citizen near the Sanahin bridge. The body of Avag Avagyan (born 1948), a resident of the Victory community, was retrieved from the river near the football field in the village of Ptghavank. Additionally, the body of Saribek Balayan (born 1985) was recovered from the river near the village of Shnogh.
A total of 30 rescue teams consisting of 324 responders from the Ministry of Internal Affairs are involved in the rescue operations. In Tavush province, the regional government has deployed 25 units of engineering equipment (20 dump trucks and 5 lifts) to assist in the efforts.
