Alen Simonyan on Flooding in Lori and Tavush Regions
I regret the disaster caused by floods in the Lori and Tavush regions. This was stated by the President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan.
“I am confident that through the efforts being made, the consequences of this natural disaster will be mitigated as quickly as possible. Patience and resilience to the local residents and all of us,” he wrote.
It is recalled that the swollen waters of the Debed River overflowed its banks last night. Preliminary reports indicate one casualty. A total of 232 citizens have been evacuated from dangerous areas.
Due to heavy rains that fell overnight, roads have been blocked in several regions of Armenia, homes and vehicles have been inundated, and people have become trapped.
