Peskov Comments on Reports of New Mobilization in Russia
There is no need for new mobilization in Russia, President Vladimir Putin has spoken about this multiple times. This statement was made by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the head of state, in response to an FT publication suggesting that Moscow might have to initiate mobilization by the end of 2024 or early next year.
Peskov noted that the British publication is unlikely to grasp the real situation in the Russian army. “You know that we are actively continuing the recruitment of contract volunteers, which takes place every day. And the president has repeatedly stated that, according to military personnel, there is no such need,” the Kremlin representative pointed out.
