Clerics Who Took to the Streets Have Long Failed in Their Spiritual Duty: MP from Civil Contract
Arpi Davoyan, a member of the parliamentary faction of the Civil Contract party, made a statement on Facebook.
“Today marks the Feast of the Ascension of Jesus Christ. Instead of serving a divine liturgy in the churches on the occasion of the feast, some clerics are making serious political claims. It is an undeniable fact that the clerics who took to the streets have long failed in their spiritual service and will likewise fail in politics. They have prioritized the temptation of engaging in politics over their spiritual duties,” she wrote.
