Flooding of Adjacent Houses Following the Collapse of River Retaining Wall in Nor Aresh District
On May 4, at 00:00, the Crisis Management National Center received a report about the collapse of a retaining wall due to rising water levels near one of the buildings on 50th Street in Yerevan's Nor Aresh district. As a result, adjacent houses have been flooded.
A rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations has been dispatched to the scene. The rescuers, with the assistance of specialized equipment provided by the city hall (tractor), are working to cleanse the channel of the river.
Present at the scene are Kamo Tsutsulyan, the Deputy Director of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Colonel, along with deputy directors Colonel T. Petrosyan and Colonel D. Sargsyan, as well as officials from the Rescue Service and the city of Yerevan.
