French-Armenian Journalist Denied Entry to Armenia Continues Hunger Strike
French-Armenian journalist Leo Nikolyan is determined to continue his hunger strike until he is provided with written reasons for being denied entry into Armenia. He made this statement to Sputnik Armenia.
Nikolyan has been on a hunger strike for the fifth day. Today, doctors at Zvartnots Airport measured his blood pressure and administered pain relief injections.
Upon arriving at the passport control checkpoint at Zvartnots Airport, he was not allowed to enter Armenia, being told that his entry was prohibited. He declared an indefinite hunger strike inside the airport.
