The Ombudsman's Rapid Response Team is at the NovEMBERYAN Police Station
Under the directive of the Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan, the Ombudsman's rapid response team is currently at the NovEMBERYAN Police Station to meet with individuals deprived of their liberty and assess the situation regarding their rights on-site.
This information has been reported by the Ombudsman's office. Previously, we reported that police had detained more than 20 citizens with particular brutality from the stretch of road leading from Ayrym to the Bagratashen border checkpoint.
It should be noted that residents of border villages in Tavush have been staging protests on the Armenia-Georgia interstate road since April 19. They are opposed to the delimitation approach agreed upon by Yerevan and Baku.
