Aliyev Speaks on Armenian-Azerbaijani Peace Talks and Their Prospects

Aliyev has commented on the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace negotiations and their prospects: “What is currently happening at our border shows that we do not need intermediaries. If no one uses this for their political interests, if we are left alone, sooner or later we will reach an agreement. We are closer to peace than ever before. We couldn't even reach an agreement on the Madrid principles, we didn't even have a draft peace treaty, but today we have one. We need to discuss the details, and of course, both sides need time. If it is signed, it will be historic for both countries. It is important that both of us have the political will to sign it,” Aliyev noted.
