We Have Repeatedly Expressed Iran's Position on This Issue: Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Islamic Republic of Iran's doctrine has not been revised and still does not imply the creation of nuclear weapons. This was stated by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanani, during a press conference broadcast by the Iranian IRIB television network.
“There is no mention of nuclear weapons in Iran's non-military or defensive doctrine. We have repeatedly expressed Iran's position on this issue, and no adjustments have been made to those doctrines,” Kanani emphasized.
He noted that his country “has the right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes and has been operating in accordance with international regulations for many years.” He added, “In this regard, our activities aimed at the development of peaceful nuclear energy will continue.”
