Palestine to Reassess Relations with the U.S.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has announced that the authorities will reassess bilateral relations with the United States following the American veto regarding Palestine's acceptance into the United Nations. He made this statement during an interview with WAFA.
“The Palestinian leadership will review its bilateral relations with the United States to ensure the interests of our people, our cause, and the protection of our rights,” said the Palestinian leader.
At the same time, he described the U.S. use of the veto concerning Palestine's admission to the UN as “outright aggression against the rights of the Palestinian people.” He also emphasized that this decision could be perceived as a challenge to the will of the international community.
