Armenia Appoints Military Attaché to Its Embassy in the United Kingdom
The Armenian government has appointed a military attaché to its embassy in the United Kingdom. This decision was made during the government's meeting today.
The justification for the initiative states that the collaboration between the two countries in the field of security is developing, which also includes command courses conducted by British officers, participation in international peacekeeping forces, as well as military and military-political consultations that occur annually.
The cooperation is based on a memorandum signed in 2004. It is noteworthy that Armenia continues to appoint military attachés in the member states of the CSTO as well. Specifically, a similar appointment took place in Kyrgyzstan in January 2024. Furthermore, on February 15, the Armenian government replaced its representatives in NATO and OSCE with military attachés.
