Today, Everything is in Place to Negotiate Peace, Says Lukashenko
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated during a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin that Minsk supports Russia's position on the Ukrainian peace process and that there is everything needed today to negotiate peace.
“I absolutely support the leadership of Russia's position regarding the peaceful process of this conflict. I absolutely stand by it. Today, everything is in place to sit down and negotiate. If they do not want to, it is clear why they do not want to,” said Lukashenko.
According to him, “if those across the ocean want to talk about peace, then that voice will also be heard in Ukraine.”
“Ukrainians, especially the population, need to know that this does not depend on us; the ball is on the other side,” Lukashenko declared.
