IAEA Director General Calls for Restraint
IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi has called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint, cease hostilities, and uphold the principles of protecting the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP).
“We must all use all available levers to eliminate the possibility of an attack on ZNPP in the future,” emphasized the IAEA chief. Grossi is scheduled to discuss the situation at the Zaporizhzhia NPP with the UN Security Council next week.
It is worth noting that on April 7, attacks on the Zaporizhzhia NPP significantly increased the risk of a nuclear accident, Grossi indicated.
