Counterfeit 100-Dollar Bills Discovered Among Youngsters
Two young men have been arrested in Yerevan on suspicion of distributing counterfeit dollars. This is reported by the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the statement, the criminal investigators of the Yerevan city police department, acting on operational information, arrested two young men, aged 27 from Ashtarak and 28 from the village of Bujakan, near one of the buildings on Artsakh Avenue on April 10, on suspicion of acquiring, possessing, and distributing counterfeit banknotes. They were taken to the Shengavit police department.
During a search, four counterfeit 100-dollar bills were found on the Ashtarak resident.
Further actions revealed that they had already distributed counterfeit 800 dollars near one of Yerevan's markets on April 8. The documents prepared have been sent to the investigative body.
