Until We Cut Off the Dragon's Head, the Issue Will Not Be Resolved: Nikol Pashinyan
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Water Committee of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia to discuss its activity report for 2023. The Committee Chairman, Vahagn Gevorgyan, and his deputies reported on the work carried out during the reporting period.
It was noted that the Water Committee implemented 6 projects within the framework of the 2023 state budget, including a total of 40 measures. These projects focused on addressing irrigation system issues, managing the Vorotan-Arpa-Sevan tunnel's water system, collector-drainage services, improving water supply and drainage, coordinating and monitoring water economy programs.
The annual updated plan for 2023 without credit and grant funds was set at 22,092.5 million drams, with an execution rate of 98.08%. During the reporting period, work continued on increasing the duration of water supply, improving water quality, deepening institutional reforms, monitoring lease agreements, enhancing the collection levels of payments for supplied irrigation water, improving operational efficiency of system companies, and effectively utilizing budgetary, credit, and grant resources.
