Ukraine Lowers Military Registration Age Limit
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a law that lowers the age limit for military registration from 27 to 25 years. According to РБК-Украина, this was stated in an announcement by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The Verkhovna Rada voted in favor of Law No. 9281 on May 30, 2023, and the document was submitted to the Ukrainian president for signature on June 5 of the same year. However, the document had not been signed until now.
On April 2, 2024, it was noted on the Verkhovna Rada’s website that the law had been returned with the president's signature. The text signed by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, last year stated that the law comes into effect the day after its publication.
Consequently, starting tomorrow, April 3, notifications will be issued to 25-year-old conscript citizens in Ukraine.
