Hamas Accuses Netanyahu of Blocking Ceasefire

The senior leader of Hamas, Osama Hamdan, believes there has been no progress in ceasefire negotiations in the Gaza Strip due to obstacles created by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, The Times of Israel reported on Thursday.

"The occupation government is still avoiding signing agreements, and the negotiations are not advancing," Hamdan said during a press conference.

He stated that Hamas is flexible in negotiations, but Netanyahu is presenting demands that prevent the parties from reaching an agreement. He also accused the Prime Minister of being "uninterested" in the release of Israeli captives held in the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, fighting has continued in the enclave. Three rockets have been fired from Gaza towards Kibbutz Kfar Aza. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that they all fell in open areas, and no one was injured.
