MMA Euro-2024: Armenian Teens Secure 8 Medals in One Day

At the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) European Championship 2024 held on March 30, Armenian athletes claimed an impressive 8 medals, including 5 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze, according to Sportball24.

In the under-13 age category, 37 kg weight class athlete Hrachya Tadevosyan and 48 kg weight class athlete David Gasparyan won gold medals. In the same age group, Khachik Asatryan won a silver medal in the 44 kg weight class, while Narek Simonian took home a bronze medal in the 37 kg weight class.

In the under-15 category, Mesrop Yeghiazaryan and Zhora Muradyan won gold medals in the 44 kg and 52 kg weight classes respectively, while Erik Vardanyan returned to Armenia with a bronze medal in the 48 kg weight class.

On the very first day of the IMMAF version of the European MMA Championship taking place in Belgrade, the Armenian team achieved remarkable success, earning a total of 5 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals.
