Russian Soldier Killed in Shirak Province

According to Aravot.am, an unusual incident occurred today in the village of Hovuni, part of the enlarged community of Achuryan in Shirak Province: a Russian soldier was killed during military exercises.

Armen Khachatryan, the deputy director of the Gyumri Medical Center, informed us that 22-year-old Roman Shaternkov was admitted to the hospital with fatal gunshot wounds to the neck and the left side of his chest at 13:55. Medical assistance could not be provided to him as biological death was recorded.

Whether he was deliberately shot or if it was an accidental injury during the exercises will be determined by the results of the forensic examination.
