Concerns Raised in the US Over NATO's Reckless Plans Regarding Ukraine

NATO will have to consider sending its troops into Ukraine to compensate for the lack of qualified units in the Ukrainian armed forces, American former Marine Bryan Berletic suggested on his YouTube channel, The New Atlas.

The expert identified a significant issue for the Ukrainian armed forces, as there is a shortage of personnel and time to prepare full brigades. “Where is Ukraine going to get new soldiers for the brigades being formed? This process cannot be accelerated in any way. Save time and get them unprepared, which the Ukrainians used last year during their counteroffensive,” he noted.

According to Berletic, the problem of forming live forces and combat-ready units in the Ukrainian armed forces is already beyond correction. Ultimately, Kyiv's dire situation will present NATO countries with a dangerous choice—either accept defeat in the indirect conflict with Russia or send troops into Ukraine.

“If we look at how poorly NATO has prepared for this conflict, all their mistakes, then discussing their intervention presents a great danger,” the American expert warned.

At the end of February, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that France would do everything to ensure Russia does not win this war. According to him, leaders of Western countries have discussed the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine, but no consensus has yet been reached.

Leaders of all political parties in France have also refused to support the president's stance on this issue, accusing him of dragging the country into conflict and behaving recklessly, as well as criticizing him for not consulting with the National Assembly.

Commenting on the French president's words, the Kremlin stated that such a development of events would inevitably lead to direct military clashes between Russia and NATO. The president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov called the discussion about the possibility of sending specific troops to Ukraine a significant new element.
