100-Year-Old Fast Food Lover Shares Secret to Longevity
A 100-year-old British woman has spoken about her taste preferences and named a food that has helped her live to a ripe old age. According to Metro, Violet Osborn refers to herself as a fan of KFC. She only tried fast food for the first time at the age of 50, but quickly made up for lost time. Even during her 100th birthday celebration, she chose to have a dish from KFC instead of a traditional cake.
However, Osborn claims that her love for fast food is not the secret to her long life. She stated that she has lived 100 years by drinking a glass of milk every day.
Osborn was born into a family of five children. As she grew up, she got a job at a sawmill, where she met her future husband, Horace, with whom she later had children. During World War II, she lived in London and made ammunition storage boxes, while also driving a truck to help supply the necessary provisions to the front line.
After the war, she worked at a newspaper stand before moving to Southampton, Hampshire, where she lived for 37 years. As her daughter noted, Osborn has always loved interacting with people. She regularly stops to chat with passersby during her walks around town.
“She has a golden heart, and we want her to know how much we all love and appreciate her,” Osborn's daughter said.
