Yerevan and Baku Close to Agreement on Recognition of 1991 Borders, Mirzoyan Says

Armenia and Azerbaijan are close to mutual understanding regarding the recognition of the borders that existed in 1991, at the time of the collapse of the USSR, as a basis for demarcation and recognition of territorial integrity. This was announced today by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during a meeting of the National Assembly's Committee on Foreign Relations, where he presented the execution of the government's program for 2023.

According to him, the positions of the two countries on this issue are currently closer than they were, for example, a month ago. “In my impression, we are very close to reaching mutual agreement on this issue,” he stated.
