Armenia Needs a New Constitution, Says Pashinyan
Armenia needs a new constitution. This statement was made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a press conference.
“Back in February 2020, I spoke about the necessity of a new constitution. The existing framework was no longer relevant. There is no conceptual framework for the new constitution, no text; there is political discourse and an agenda that I am proposing to the Armenian people,” said the Prime Minister during the press conference.
As for when a referendum will take place, the Prime Minister stated, “When I, as well as our political team, feel that the people are sufficiently prepared.”
