Former Leaders of Artsakh Held in Baku Forced to Give Interviews, Beglaryan
The genocidal and authoritarian regime of Aliyev in Azerbaijan is once again violating international law. This was stated by former Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Artsakh, Artak Beglaryan, in a post on his Telegram channel.
“They have not only kidnapped the leadership of Artsakh but have also obstructed their right to legal defense. Now they are being forced to give interviews. The use of hostages for propaganda and mass humiliation is also a crime. Additionally, Juan Mendes, the UN's first special advisor on the prevention of genocide, clearly states in his report dated November 1, 2023, that the arrest of the leaders of Artsakh indicates genocide, as it reflects the intention to eliminate the community,” he wrote.
