What Did Putin and the Head of IAEA Discuss?
Russian President Vladimir Putin's negotiations with the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, have concluded. The meeting lasted for 50 minutes, as reported by RIA Novosti.
At the beginning of the meeting, Putin told Grossi that Russia is ready to do everything necessary to ensure safety at any site linked to nuclear energy. According to the Russian president, Moscow is prepared to continue its work with IAEA in all areas.
The state leader emphasized that Russia occupies a strong position as one of the unconditional leaders in the field of nuclear energy, classifying it as an environmentally clean form.
IAEA chief Rafael Grossi also stated that he had an important discussion with Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and other "challenges". He noted a significant exchange of views with Putin in Sochi on the nuclear and physical security of the Zaporizhzhia power plant and other global non-proliferation challenges.
