Not Armenia, But Russia Should Clarify Its Position Towards Us: Armen Grigoryan
Not Armenia, but Russia, as a member of the CSTO, should clarify its position towards us, stated Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan during a press briefing in the National Assembly.
“Since May 2021, our discussions with the CSTO have been that we have a border with Azerbaijan. The CSTO has insisted that we do not have a border and has not recognized it, and has not even condemned the occupation of Armenian territory,” Grigoryan said.
He reminded that Armenia demands from the CSTO to recognize its responsibility boundaries, which encompass Armenia's 29,800 square kilometers of territory, as well as our borders with Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Iran.
“As long as the CSTO has not recognized this and the issue has not been addressed, this problem remains unresolved. The Armenian-Azerbaijani border exists as defined by the Alma-Ata Declaration; we need to pursue this and reproduce it,” emphasized the Secretary of the Security Council.
He also noted that the CSTO needs to determine what our relations should be like.
