Georgia and Azerbaijan Establish Joint Venture for Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Management
Azerbaijan and Georgia have announced the creation of a joint venture to manage the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway. The joint venture is established based on the fact that both parties own a 50 percent stake in it, according to Rovshan Rustamov, head of Azerbaijan Railways.
Following the full completion of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project, all operations will be carried out by this venture. The organization will handle project-related tasks, set tariff rates for freight transportation and goods shipping, and overall resolve operational issues.
