VIDEO: Russian Military Destroys NATO's Most Advanced Self-Propelled Artillery System for the First Time
Russian military forces have, for the first time, destroyed the Swedish Archer multifunctional self-propelled artillery system. This information has been reported by ife.ru.
The Archer is NATO's most advanced self-propelled howitzer. A corresponding video was published by journalist Vladimir Solovyov.
The Archer is a Swedish 155 mm multifunctional self-propelled artillery unit developed by the Bofors metallurgical concern, which was later acquired by the British company BAE Systems Ltd.
The self-propelled howitzer weighs 33 tons, has a length of 14.1 meters, a width of 3 meters, and a height of 3.4 meters. Its crew consists of three to four personnel. The firing range is between 30 to 60 km, depending on the type of projectile, with a damage area of 1250 square meters.
