I Still Think I Have Work to Do in the National Assembly, but the Political Team Decided Otherwise: Papoyan
Gevorg Papoyan, a member of the National Assembly from the "Civil Contract" faction, continues to believe that he has work to do in the National Assembly, but the political team has decided that he should continue his public service as the Minister of Economy at this stage.
“Several options were discussed, and as a result of those discussions, such a decision was made,” said Gevorg Papoyan, the candidate for Minister of Economy, in response to journalists' questions in the National Assembly about whether his candidacy was a result of Babken Tunyan's resignation and that the government has no other candidate.
In response to a journalist's observation regarding whether there is a кадровый слау in the public administration system that forces the chair of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs to become the Minister of Economy, Papoyan responded that the public administration system is not, in fact, appealing.
“The salary received by a minister is also received by the head of an average organization or a slightly above-average level manager of a small organization,” Papoyan said.
