Forbes Billionaire Yuri Antipov Arrested on Fraud Charges
Yuri Antipov, a businessman from Chelyabinsk who has made it onto Forbes' list of billionaires and currently owns the Chelyabinsk Electrometallurgical Plant, has been arrested on charges of fraud. This was reported by ТАСС, citing a representative from the law enforcement agencies.
According to the source, investigative actions are being carried out following the businessman’s arrest. His procedural status in the case has not been specified. It is known that the investigation is being conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, while operational activities are being carried out by FSB employees.
The arrest has also been confirmed by the local publication 74.ru, which refers to a source at the plant. The Baza Telegram channel reports that Antipov has been taken in for questioning, following which he may be detained.
