Parliamentary Elections Kick Off in Belarus
Polling stations have opened for parliamentary elections in Belarus, as reported by BELTA. On this unified voting day, representatives for the eighth convocation of the National Assembly's House of Representatives (110 seats) and local council members for the twenty-ninth convocation (12,514 seats) will be elected.
A total of 5,411 polling stations have been established, including 11 in military units and 215 at temporary voter accommodation locations (hospitals, sanatoriums, holiday homes, and other temporary lodgings). The voting stations will remain open until 20:00 local time.
As of the latest available data, there are 6,911,742 registered voters on the electoral rolls.
