Tigran Hakobyan's Salary Will Exceed 1 Million Drams: 'Hraparak'
During today's government meeting, a proposal to approve amendments to the law on the remuneration of persons holding state positions and state service positions is included on the agenda. This was reported by the newspaper 'Hraparak'.
The draft law proposes to set the salary coefficient for the Chairman of the Public Television and Radio Commission at 14, equalizing it with the remuneration of the Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission. Previously, the coefficient for the Chairman of the PTVRC was 10. Therefore, if Tigran Hakobyan previously earned 832,000 drams per month, after the change, he will receive 1,164,000 drams.
“But he has fully 'earned' that salary by obediently serving the ruling party, making decisions that deprived non-governmental TV stations of airtime, and through consistent efforts aimed at eliminating free speech from the broadcast,” the newspaper states.
