It Would Be Better for Russia if Biden Wins the US Elections: Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Moscow would prefer Joe Biden to Donald Trump for the position of President of the United States. He made this remark in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.
Zarubin asked Putin, "Who is better for us — Biden or Trump?"
“Biden. He is a more experienced person, predictable and a politician of the old formation. But we will work with any leader of the US whom the American people trust,” Putin responded.
The Russian president was also questioned about his views on the news regarding Biden's health. According to Putin, this is related to the pre-election campaign in the US. “I think the domestic political campaign in the US is gaining momentum. It is taking on sharper forms. And it is inappropriate for us to interfere in this process. You know, I met with Biden in Switzerland three years ago. At that time, they were also saying he was inept. I did not see anything like that. Well, yes, he looked at his paper, I looked at mine. Nothing. And the fact that at some point, getting off a helicopter, he hit his head, well... Whoever in our country has not hit their head somewhere, let them cast the first stone at him,” the Russian president said.
He added that, in his opinion, the current stance of the US administration is “extremely harmful and incorrect.” “And I have told President Biden about this in due time,” Putin concluded.
