No one can stop us: Aliyev

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, stated in a speech following his oath of office that there will be no peace agreement if Armenia does not bring its legislation to a “normal state.” He emphasized, “Our army showed its strength not during exercises or parades, but on the battlefield. Armenia and its military supporters should know that nothing can stop us,” he said.

According to Aliyev, Armenia seems to have forgotten the results of the second Nagorno-Karabakh war. “Or perhaps someone has violated them and has not fulfilled those obligations at all,” he added.

Aliyev also remarked, “Armenia and its military supporters should know that nothing can stop us. No matter how many supporters Armenia has, no one can stop us.”

He asserted that they do not have territorial claims over Armenia. “We have no territorial claims over Armenian territory, but they must also abandon their claims. Speaking to us in terms of unfounded claims and blackmail will cost them dearly, and everyone sees that,” he stated.
