VIDEO: Runner Ervand Mkrtchyan Becomes Medalist and Sets Armenian Record
Member of the Armenian athletics team, runner Ervand Mkrtchyan, has won a silver medal at the 'Belgrade Indoor Meeting' held in the capital of Serbia. The information was reported by armsport.am.
The athlete has also set a new Armenian record in the 1500 meters, completing the distance in 3:38.12 minutes. He finished just behind a representative from South Africa. Notably, this result is already close to the Olympic standard (3:33.50).
It is worth mentioning that Ervand Mkrtchyan previously won a gold medal at the Balkan Winter Championships, held in Istanbul on February 10.
