Heavy Snow Causes Closure of Ttujur-Navur Road: Current Situation on Armenian Roads
As of 10:10 AM on February 4, light snowfall is occurring in the regions of Sisian, Martuni, Ararat, Vayk, Tavush, and Sevan, reports the "Road Department".
Due to heavy snowfall, the Ttujur-Navur road is closed to all types of vehicles.
Roads from the Hargis intersection to Goris, from Shinuhairst to Tatev, and the Vardenyats Pass are also closed to trailer vehicles, while other types of vehicles can only pass with difficulty.
The Vorotan Pass (Saravan) is difficult to traverse for vehicles with trailers.
Other interstate and republican roads remain open. Road construction teams are currently clearing and treating road surfaces with salt and sand.
To avoid accidents, incidents, and traffic jams, drivers are advised to use winter tires exclusively.
