The National Progress faction has responded to the City Hall’s decision to hold an extraordinary session to prematurely terminate Haik Marutyan’s powers, underscoring their stance as an opposition group that cannot be silenced.

According to the decision made by the pseudo-mayor of Yerevan, an extraordinary session of the Council will take place on February 5, with the agenda focusing on the early termination of Haik Marutyan’s powers and those of four other opposition council members.

The only issue we are ready to discuss urgently with this government is Tigran Avinyan's resignation. Enough of attempts to silence the opposition; it will not succeed,” the statement reads.
