Businesses Required to Clear Snow Daily: Yerevan Council Establishes New Regulations
The municipal staff of Yerevan's city hall and the communal divisions of administrative districts will conduct inspections throughout the city. This was announced by the city hall.
The Yerevan Council has set clear regulations regarding the mandatory maintenance of real estate and surrounding public areas. According to the decision, businesses are obliged to not only clear the snow that has fallen every day but also to remove snow and ice accumulations from paved sidewalks and asphalt surfaces after precipitation ceases.
The requirement for mandatory maintenance also implies the obligation to keep the surrounding area free from snow and ice, as well as to maintain and green the sidewalks.
The Code of Administrative Offenses stipulates a fine ranging from 15,000 to 20,000 drams for failing to comply with the mandatory maintenance requirements for real estate and its adjoining public areas.
