Vehicles Collide in Ararat Region; One Fatality

On January 23, at 11:08 AM, the Crisis Management Center of the Ararat region's rescue service received a call regarding a road accident near the bridge in Araksavan village, with reported casualties.

A firefighting unit from the regional rescue service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that at the 7th kilometer of the Artashat-Yerevan highway, vehicles of the brands "Opel" (driver: D. H., born in 1991) and "VAZ" (driver: G. V., born in 2001) had collided.

Before rescuers arrived, the injured occupant of the "Opel" vehicle was transported to a medical center, where they succumbed to their injuries on the way.

The rescuers disabled the vehicles and shut off the valves on the gas cylinders.
