Nikol Pashinyan Appoints Armen Abazyan as Director of NSS
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has appointed Armen Abazyan as the Director of the National Security Service.
Today, he was released from his position by a decree from President Vahagn Khachaturyan. It is noteworthy that during the government meeting on November 30, a decision was made according to which the appointment and dismissal of the Director and Deputy Directors of the National Security Service will henceforth be the responsibility of the Prime Minister rather than the President.
The Director of the NSS and the Deputy Directors will hold public office, while other members of the national security services will hold military positions.
