Armen Abazyan Dismissed from the Position of Director of the NSS
Armen Abazyan has been dismissed from the position of Director of the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia by a decree from President Vahagn Khachaturyan.
“Based on the Prime Minister's proposal, in accordance with part 1 of Article 133 of the Constitution and part 2 of Article 2 of the law on making amendments to the law on ‘National Security Bodies’, Armen ABAZYAN is dismissed from the position of Director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia,” the decree states.
It is worth mentioning that Abazyan was appointed as the NSS director on November 8, 2020.
