VIDEO: Enhanced Service in the Capital - Patrol Officers to Monitor All Violations
The patrol officers of the Yerevan division of the Armenian Police's Patrol Service plan to conduct enhanced service measures in the capital.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs informed Auroranews that the patrol officers will document any legal violations, including seatbelt use, possession of a driver's license, smoking while driving, talking on the phone, driving under the influence, and more.
Pedestrians crossing the road at non-designated areas will also be under the scrutiny of law enforcement. It is noted that according to the law on administrative violations, crossing the road at non-designated places incurs a fine of 5000 drams.
