VIDEO: Kostanyan on Traveling to the UAE Without a Visa
The Armenian National Assembly is discussing the ratification of the protocol on amendments to the memorandum of understanding between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the United Arab Emirates concerning the exemption from the visa requirement for holders of diplomatic passports, signed on June 21, 2009.
Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan presented that the protocol on amendments was signed on September 7, 2023. "The cooperation between the two countries is dynamically developing in almost all areas, and there is a comprehensive bilateral agenda," he stated.
Kostanyan noted that if the document is approved by parliament, it will not automatically come into effect. "Our citizens need to have a bit more patience until we complete our state procedures," he mentioned, adding that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will publicly clarify when our citizens will be able to travel to the UAE without a visa.
