VIDEO: Details on the new decision regarding the 'red lines'
Electric vehicles are exempt from the 'red line' fees in central Yerevan. This was reported in an interview with Auroranews by the Yerevan Municipality.
The spokesperson for the mayor, Hayk Kostanyan, stated that this decision is made with the rationale of encouraging people to use electric transportation, which has a significant environmental component.
It is noted that the fees will remain the same for vehicles with state license plates. Auroranews was also informed by the municipality that drivers who fail to pay the fees will be fined 5,000 drams.
Tigran Keyan, the president of the Drivers' Association, also provided details on the penalty process. For more details, watch the video.
