Kyurobian States When Construction of Gyumri's Dry Port May Begin
The construction of the dry port in Gyumri may begin in the second half of 2024. This statement was made today by the Minister of Economy Vahan Kyurobian during an extraordinary meeting of the Armenian National Assembly's Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration.
The minister clarified that the technical and economic justification of the project is nearly complete. If we receive the final approval of the project from the investment committee, the construction phase will begin within 6-9 months, Kyurobian stated.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Economy has proposed to build the dry port in the Shirak region, in an area close to the airport, which has direct access to both the railway and the airport, and is situated on the North-South roadway.
