Blizzard Expected in Mountain Areas: Weather Forecast in Armenia

Rainfall is expected in various regions of the Republic of Armenia on the night of December 18, with snow in mountainous and pre-mountainous areas. On the morning of December 18, icy conditions are anticipated on the roads. During the day of December 18 and from the 19th to 22nd, dry weather is expected. This information is provided by the Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Center.

The wind will be from the northwest, with a speed of 3-6 m/s, and blizzard conditions are predicted in the mountainous areas. On December 17, afternoon temperatures will drop by 3-5 degrees, and an additional decrease of 7-10 degrees is expected during the nights of December 18-19.

In Yerevan, from December 18 to 22, dry weather is expected. It should be noted that in Shirak, Lori, the foothills of Tavush, Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Gegharkunik, the elevated areas of Yerevan, Vayots Dzor, and Syunik, there were recorded snowfall on the night of December 17-18, with blizzard conditions in some areas and icy roads.
