Snow is Falling in Certain Areas: There are Also Impassable Sections

As of December 13 at 5:00 PM, snow is falling in the regions of Sevan, Gavar, Martuni, Chambarak, Vardenis, Stepanavan, and Jermuk, as well as in the Saravan and Vardenyats mountain passes. Due to heavy snowfall, the Vardenyats pass is impassable for vehicles with trailers. Drivers of these vehicles are advised to use snow chains. This information was reported by the Road Department.

It is also reported that there is fog on the roadways in the regions of Goris and Kapan, with visibility reduced to 50-100 meters. Other interstate and republican roads are open.

The road construction teams are conducting snow clearing and sand-salting operations on the roads. To avoid accidents, incidents, and traffic jams, drivers are urged to travel with winter tires.
