Gagik Melkonyan Denies Reports of His Grandson Stabbing a Student at College
It has simply turned out to be a cruel joke. Gagik Melkonyan, a member of the Armenian National Assembly's Civil Contract faction, denied reports suggesting that his grandson had stabbed a student at a college during an interview with Tert.am.
He assured that his grandson and the other student involved in the incident are best friends and that it was merely a cruel prank. “There was no stabbing, they just pulled each other, it turned out to be a cruel joke,” the deputy insisted, adding that law enforcement is investigating the incident.
According to Melkonyan, his grandson is currently at their home. It should be noted that media outlets reported that a stabbing took place involving the grandson of deputy Gagik Melkonyan at the ‘Yerevan Institute of Law and Management’ college. According to those sources, Melkonyan's grandson stabbed another student from the same institution.
